Black Leather

September 06, 2016 by Briana Smith in Baby Girl Fashion

Hello Lovelies! How was everyone's Labor Day Weekend? I’m sure having a hard time getting back on schedule. Long weekends are the best but it always is difficult for me to get back to reality!

Today’s look is a combination of basic pieces that every wardrobe must have. These basics being featured are: Black leather jacket, White Tank, Favorite Skinnies, Black booties and a statement purse. These items can be transitioned into any style. I combined all of these pieces and created an edgy look that is perfect for fall.

You will see me sport these basics time after time, especially this season. Having a wardrobe is about finding those basic pieces and styling them in multiple ways. Once you figure out this concept you will have endless outfits! If you have questions on this concept please let me know. I would love to help you find outfits you never knew you had!

Have a fabulous day everyone! Thanks for following!

Hello Beautiful People!

I hope you are all doing fabulous! Is everyone so excited for the long weekend? I know I am! It’s Kody’s birthday this weekend. He is turning 25!? I can’t believe it, that sounds so old! Haha. Does anyone have any fun ideas I could do to make his day extra special? This year I am stumped, so please comment with any tips, or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Today’s post is showcasing my favorite seasons style. Yes, fall is my season for fashion. There is nothing better than wearing sweaters and booties everyday.

I love this sweater from Pink Blush.  It is cute, cozy and burgundy is one of my favorite fall colors. This is a sweater I will wear on a day to day basis, as well as dress it up to wear on a date night.

Pink Blush is such a unique boutique because their clothing is so transitional. You won’t believe it, but all of their clothing transitions from pre-maternity, to maternity, to post maternity! Basically, it is a fashion line that can be worn at any stage of life. It is so neat! I hated having to buy an entire new wardrobe while I was pregnant with Ellie. Pink Blush eliminates that. Their clothing can be worn when you are 9 months pregnant or when your baby is 9 months old! It is seriously amazing. I love knowing I won't have to buy a new wadrobe with baby number two. No, I am not pregnant, nor do I plan on becoming pregnant (for a while), but I love this concept. Pink Blush is my go to boutique because I know I will be able to wear the clothing no matter what stage of life I am in. Plus, all of their clothing is adorable, you’d never know Pink Blush is also a maternity clothing line.

I hope you all enjoyed today’s post. Thanks so much for following! Have a fun long weekend!

Beach Cottage-All Moved In

August 23, 2016 by Briana Smith in Baby Girl Fashion

Hey Everyone! I hope this post finds you well.

Today’s post is a home tour of the beach cottage Kody, Ellie and I are currently living in. My in-laws built this cottage as a fun place for there kids and grand kids to stay in while they visit. Kody, Ellie and I somehow talked them into letting us live in the cottage until December, when we move back to St. George.

Kody and his dad has worked on this cottage for the past 4 years. It was a vacant lot covered in reeds, trees, shrubs, and grass. They have spent the past four winters digging out the shrubs and clay. Kody’s parents conveniently own a construction business. They were able to use their equipment to dig out the shrubs, make and lay their cement, as well as make their own beach sand. It’s been neat to see their hard work pay off. The cottage is literally a dream. Kody and I feel like we are on vacation every morning when we wake up to the view. The view itself is phenomenal.

My mother-in-law designed and decorated the entire cottage. She needs to be an interior designer. She is so talented. The colors and style all tie in perfectly. The floors look like wood but are actually tile. She didn’t want to worry about wood floor or carpet getting damaged by the sand and water, so she went with this option. We love it! The floors are extremely easy to clean and I don’t have to worry about them getting water damage or scratched.

Ellie’s room is darling. It is simple, vintage, and girly. The vanity is Ellie’s, great, great grandma Nelda’s. It is Ellie’s favorite part of the entire house. She loves standing up and singing to herself in the mirror. It’s adorable. Ellie’s pink and grey bow/headband organizer is from The Painted Plank. It adds such a cute touch to her room. It is so nice to have all of her hair accessories organized. If you have a little girl I definitely suggest checking out The Painted Plank Etsy shop and following them on Instagram @thepaintedplank. Their organizers are so adorable!

I hope you enjoyed the tour of our beach cottage. Kody, Ellie and I are having the time of our life living in Delta at the reservoir. There’s something about a small town in the country that we can’t get enough of. We must have country in our blood;)

Lemon's take on Boston & New York

August 22, 2016 by Briana Smith

Hello Everyone! ! I hope you all are having a fabulous start to your week. I know it’s back to school time for many of you, so I would like to wish all of you best of luck. Including you mothers who have to send your child off for their first day. I must say I am dreading the day I have to send Ellie to school. I’ll totally be one of those crazy mom’s who follows the bus to the school;) Nothing wrong with that right!? Haha

Anyways, today’s post is all about the Lemon’s (my side) family vacation back East. We have some family friends that live near Boston, so we went to visit them. They were our tour guides around both Boston and New York City.

We flew into Boston and started the trip off by going to a Yankees and Red Sox Baseball Game at Fenway Park. My brother-in-law and sister are huge Red Sox fans and Kody and I are Yankees fans. It was a dream come true being able to watch both teams play. To say we had good seats would be an understatement. We sat on the third row right on the third baseline. It was amazing! We could see the sweat beating of the players foreheads and fly balls were coming our way the entire night. It was so much fun!

My sister and brother-in-law have a baby boy the same age as Ellie. The friends we were visiting were so good to us, they stayed in the hotel to babysit while we went and enjoyed the game. It was so nice and such a fun date night!

The next day we started our travels to New York City. We took a ferry to cut the drive time. That was a neat experience in itself! We arrived in a small town in New York. It was a beautiful little city with farmers markets and vineyards for miles. Our friend took us to this adorable farmer's market that is known for their world famous pies. We had a fresh peach pie and it was incredible! Ellie was a huge fan of their fresh peaches and ate the entire peach by herself! It was hilarious.

The first night in New York we went to Broadway. Kody and I are not really into theater and Broadway, so we were skeptical, however, the show blew us away! We went to the School of Rock. It was amazing! It was even better than the movie. I totally recommend seeing it. The kids that were acting were so talented. Kody and I would totally go and see it again.

The following day, we went and toured the 9/11 Memorial. It was such a neat experience. The Memorial is outstanding. I felt like they did a great job honoring those who lost their lives.

We finished up our New York trip by shopping and eating some yummy New York Styled Pizza. It was a blast shopping at all of the little shops and boutiques. I had to get a souvenir so Kody, Ellie and I stopped into Steve Madden.  I found some adorable sneakers (pictured above in camo pants outfit).

Oh and I have to brag on Ellie and her cousin Benson. They were such troopers! They slept the entire plane ride and were content the entire road trip. Tara (my sister) and I were so proud of our babies!

The only downfall of the trip was my phone was stolen. I am super bummed because I had photos of our trip on it. So sorry I don’t have more photos to show:( All of my Boston photos were on it, and we weren’t able to recover them.. So sad:(

All and all our trip was one of a lifetime. It was short but filled with lasting memories. I hope you enjoyed reading about our vacation. Have a fabulous week everyone! Good luck with school!

naturscrub

August 17, 2016 by Briana Smith

Hello Everyone! How’s everyone’s week going so far?

We are switching topics from “fashion” to “skin care” on today’s blog post.

This past month I have been obsessing over scrubs. They are amazing! Well,, some are at least;) While experimenting with different creams/scrubs I found out that not all scrubs are good for your skin. Many have harmful chemicals, while others are too harsh to use on your face and end up damaging your skin. While searching for the perfect scrub I came across Naturscrub. This scrub is seriously amazing! Naturscrub is a 100% All Natural Walnut Exfoliator. It’s a dream. After using it, my face and body literally feel like Ellie’s bottom haha ;) but seriously! It makes my skin feel so soft and smooth.

My current favorite is the Citrus Mint. The oils in this mix leave my face feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Use code "followbriana" to receive 50% off your purchase!

I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Have a fabulous week! Keep on smiling:)
