April Showers Bring May Flowers

May 02, 2016 by Briana Smith in Fashion

Is anyone else in shock that it is May?

May is going to be a crazy month for our family. Not only does Kody have finals, we are also moving to Delta, UT  for the Summer.

Kody’s parents own a construction business in Delta. We are moving there so Kody can work long hours and hopefully make some good money;)

Kody and I both grew up in small towns, and when I say small, I mean super small. I grew up in Holden, UT and he grew up in Delta, UT. We love our small town roots. There is something so special about growing up in the country. Although we absolutely adore St. George, we look forward to being near our families.

This will be our last week in St. George until August. I’m anticipating a CRAZY week! Not to worry, nothing will change with the blog, there may just be a few posts that are country influenced ;)

Anyways, enough about my life. Let’s talk about this adorable dress from Salty Bae Boutique. It is cute, fun and flirty! I can’t get enough.

Salty Bae Boutique is a darling online boutique. They specialize in women’s high fashion, modest clothing.

I paired this floral dress with these loud wedge sandals. I bought these sandals last year for my graduation. I’m all about wearing a cute dress and statement shoes for grad night. I think it’s so fun to stylize your robe:)

This dress is so versatile. It is the perfect graduation, church, or party dress.

Head over to Salty Bae Boutique, to buy this dress and more! Use code "summersun" at checkout, to receive 15% off your purchase! This offer lasts one week so head there now! (Direct links below)

Happy shopping!!

Photographer: L.T. Photography is seriously AMAZING!! She is so cute and fun to work with! I can’t say enough about her. If you live in Southern Utah, I definitely suggest booking a photo session with her. Follow her on Instagram @l.t._photography to see more of her work!

Tan: AirBrush Tanning by Natalie does the best tans! Trust me, I have had many spray tans in my day. This is by far the best one I have received. This photoshoot was done a week after my initial spray tan, and it still looked great! Usually, a week after I am splotchy. I am extremely impressed with how long this tan is lasting. Hair: Funny story.. I was so excited about this photo shoot, so I wanted to look my best. I really wanted to have someone style my hair, but I wasn’t willing to pay the $50.00 at the salon. So, I decided to call Evan’s Hair styling College. I requested the best hairstylist, and that’s who I got! Madson did such an amazing job styling my hair. It was exactly what I wanted. Birthday Bash

April 21, 2016 by Briana Smith in Fashion

23 seems so old!? Do the years get shorter as you age? Time is flying by! I seriously cannot believe I am twenty three!!?

Birthdays around our household are usually a big deal, well for me at least. Lets just say I usually turn the entire month of April into a celebration!

Becoming a mom must have matured me, because this year has been different. Kody and I have been so busy that I almost forgot it was my birthday! It came fast. I didn’t have time to celebrate the entire month!

Yesterday, was a great day though. Ellie started it off by waking up at 3:00 am ready to party. She must have been so excited that it was mom's birthday, that she couldn’t sleep.. My birthday started at 3 am.. (This has never happened before-bizarre)

Kody was so sweet and made it extra special. He woke up early (yes he was surprised when Ellie and I were awake playing downstairs) to make me his famous homemade granola. It is my favorite breakfast and was delicious!

Kody then left for school/work and Ellie took a long nap.. During this time I was able to do some morning stretches and relax. Having the morning to myself is rare, so I took full advantage of my time!

Ellie and I were ready to head into town to run some errands when Kody walked in the door. He finished work early so he could come and spend the day with his girls! It was a great surprise. He has been extremely busy with work and school these past months, so spending the day together was the perfect present.

Evening came and my wonderful parents showed up at our house. They drove two in a half hours to take us out for a birthday dinner. My mom and dad are seriously the best! We got ready and headed to my favorite restaurant, Anasazi.

We ended the evening by indulging in my favorite birthday dessert, a Sweet Tooth Fairy cupcake! I got the sweet potato cupcake and oh my goodness! Heaven in a every bite!

My birthday was amazing! I am so blessed to have such amazing family and friends who made this day superb!

Hope you all have a wonderful day! Thanks for following!

Kimberly Parry Organics →

April 12, 2016 by Briana Smith in Baby Girl Fashion

Healthy living is a priority for me. Eating healthy and working out has become a part of my lifestyle. The past 7 years I have been careful what I put in my body, however, I have not paid attention to what I am putting on it.

Having Ellie has made me take caution. I have read countless articles discussing harmful chemicals that are in skin care, especially baby products! It completely freaked me out..to the point that I stopped using baby powder and other baby products all together. Who knew there were so many chemicals in our skin care, especially skin care products for babies!?

Luckily, a friend introduced me to Kimberly Parry Organics. This line of merchandise has been a lifesaver. I finally feel comfortable putting product on Ellie.

Kimberly Parry skin care line is made with all natural ingredients. Everything is USDA Organic, which means the United States Department of Agriculture certified them organic.

Not only are these products all natural and organic, they are made in the US. They are manufactured in St. George, Utah. So, you can feel good about using safe products, as well as supporting a local company.

Kimberly Parry Organics range from baby to men’s skin care. This post is focusing on their baby line. I will do another post regarding the women’s line.

Here are a few of the baby products that I always have on hand.

Talc free baby powder The harmful chemicals that are found in generic baby powder is what first alarmed me and made me turn to organic skin care. I was so relieved when this baby powder was introduced to me.

Talc free baby powder is something I use with every diaper change. Not only does it soothe Ellie’s skin it also kills bacteria! Two in one!

Kimberly Parry’s Baby Oil is amazing! During bath time, I rub a little oil on Ellie. Her skin comes out soft and smooth. The oil even smells good! It contains Mandarin and Lavender, which provides anti-inflammatory protection and adds that perfect scent. (This is Kody’s favorite product. I may or may not have seen him using it in the shower lol)

The All in One Cleanse Bar is another must have. I use this as Ellie’s shampoo and body soap. This bar contains aloe which soothes and hydrates skin.

Last but not least, Bum Butter. (Love the name!)  Bum Butter is a miracle worker. As soon as Ellie’s bum starts to turn red, I dab on Bum Butter. By the next diaper change the redness is gone. It’s amazing! I will never go back to the generic diaper rash cream. This has done wonders.

The list could go on and on. Kimberly Parry Products work! They are quality products made with quality ingredients. You won’t have to worry what chemicals you are putting on your baby ever again.
